Dinosaurs Unleashed at Eden Project!
Wanted – young explorers to uncover the secrets of a prehistoric world inhabited by massive, menacing creatures – only the brave need apply! If your kids are going through that dino- mad phase the new Dinosaurs Unleashed exhibition at the Eden Project, Cornwall, will keep them enthralled for hours! After an explorer’s briefing at Basecamp, enter the Crater of the Tyrant King for a close encounter with a fearsome Tyrannosaurus Rex – luckily it prefers Triceratops for dinner, so you can wander freely around the misty ancient landscape of rocks, roots ferns and giant redwood trees. Emerging from the crater, you may notice an agitated explorer searching for a lost dinosaur – use the skills learned at Basecamp to help him recapture it, before it runs amok all over Cornwall! Learn about the adventures of more successful great explorers from the past and present at Explorer Field Stations, and uncover a dinosaur skeleton at The Dig Pit.
The Dinosaur Exhibition in the Core Building has an amazing display of genuine dinosaur fossils, some previously unseen, including a fossilised brain, a real dinosaur egg, a complete skeleton and a T-Rex tooth the size of a banana, but a lot sharper! There are plenty of fascinating facts presented in a child friendly way – did you know that when a Diplodocus passed wind it released enough methane gas to fill a hot air balloon? That the stupid Stegosaurus had a brain the size of a tangerine? Jot it all down in your free Adventure Journal and impress all your friends with your new-found knowledge! Dinosaurs Unleashed runs throughout the school holidays (July 21st – September 2nd) and 365 tickets have a exclusive offer of 15% off the gate price if you book online at least 24 hours in advance of your visit. Boldly Go!
