London to Mediterranean in 6.30 hours with Eurostar!
How do you fancy going from drizzle to sizzle in six and a half hours without the tedium of changing trains?
The new Eurostar direct service from St. Pancras station in London to St. Charles station in Marseilles allows you to do just that! Board in London at 07.19, travel through green and pleasant Thameside and rural Kent, then through the Channel Tunnel (nothing to see, so maybe a good time to eat!)
Enjoy the views of northern France, Burgundy and the Rhone Valley, before finally disembarking at Marseilles at 14.46. Departures in June are on Mondays, Fridays and Saturdays, and in July they increase to five days per week – every day except Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
The return journey leaves Marseilles at 15.22, and arrives in London at 22.12, taking an hour longer due to the UK border control stop at Lille Europe.
Why not get a Marseille City Pass to help you make the most of your visit?
They are available for 24, 48 and 72 hours, and are activated at first use.
As well as unlimited use of public transport, your pass gives you free access to many museums and attractions, sightseeing tours, food tastings and discounts at selected shops.
A City Pass is also available for vibrant foodie heaven Lyon, and this new service will get you there in 4hrs 41 mins – just in time for lunch!
