Old Trafford Stadium Tours
Many avid football fans must wonder what it feels like to be a star player, emerging from that tunnel to the roar of the crowd, running onto the hallowed turf with thousands of loyal fans cheering you on to win that coveted trophy.
Old Trafford Stadium Tours let you live out that fantasy with a behind the scenes glimpse into areas normally only seen by the club’s players, manager and the press and you can also learn about the history of your favourite team in the club museum and delve into the archives, reliving those moments of glory and gain insider knowledge about top players past and present.
Dubbed “The theatre of dreams” by Bobby Charlton, Old Trafford has been the permanent residence of the “Red Devils” since 1910 and is the largest club venue in the UK. It can currently accommodate more than 76,000 spectators, with plans to increase the capacity to 90,000 by 2015!
Retrace the footsteps of football superstars like Charlton, Law, Best, Cantona, Giggs and Rooney as you tour the stadium, admire the 3 tier North Stand, see the manager’s pitch side dugout, the changing room with it’s spa pool, baths and showers and the players lounge where they can relax before and after the game.
There is so much to see in the museum, which celebrates 130 years of football history and is home to an impressive array of trophies, kit and memorabilia, as well as tributes to the legendary former manager of 25 years, Sir Alex Ferguson, and Sir Matt Busby and the “Busby Babes”, including those who died tragically in the 1958 Munich air crash.
Interactive video screens will tell you all you could wish to know about Manchester United and there is a cafe for refreshments and a shop full of Man U paraphernalia and memorabilia. All tour guests will receive a certificate to commemorate their visit, and museum only tickets are available.
Old Trafford Stadium Tour tickets can make an ideal combination with a visit to nearby Legoland Discovery Centre and, or, the Sea Life Manchester in the stunning Trafford Centre indoor shopping mall, or perhaps even bought as a gift voucher for a football loving friend or family member.
