What makes a city romantic?

Which cities catch the hearts of couples everywhere?

We round up nine of the best that captivate the look of love.

Let’s dive in.

Think romance, think Paris. Right?

Paris has much to offer from taking in the beautiful art in the Louvre to gazing out, hand in hand, across the city from the Eiffel Tower

Furthermore, a candlelit dinner and shared bottle of wine in sight of the Sacré-Cœur, soaking up Montmartre’s peaceful village atmosphere, will give your romance an undeniable edge.

In addition, stroll among the old and narrow streets of the Latin Quarter to pose in front of Saint-Michel Fountain.

Afterwards, why not have a browse at the Shakespeare & Company bookstore?

San Francisco should be high on any couple’s romance list.

For instance, you could bike through Golden Gate Park and get stunning views of the famous bridge as a result.

Then hike up Twin Peaks and snuggle with your loved one whilst watching the twinkling city lights.

After that take a trip to Coit Tower to admire a glorious Pacific Sunset.

Why is Salzburg romantic?

Because it’s where Julie Andrews filmed The Sound of Music. Cool right?

Plus it’s the birthplace of Mozart too!

Salzburg’s musical heritage stretches far back therefore attending one of the many operas, musicals and concerts held there will definitely give you butterflies.

Afterwards, climb to Festung Hohensalzburg and view the city from this impressive medieval castle.

Golden sands, turquoise ocean. You can picture it already, right?

Feel the salty sea breeze on your faces whilst you soak up warm, comforting rays.

Plenty of modern boutiques and intimate restaurants make Honolulu a perfect spot for honeymooners.

However, don’t forget to try surfing at Waikiki Beach if you crave an adrenaline rush.

Rome is a famed romantic city for good reason.

Reminders to Rome’s past are intertwined with the modern across the city.

Therefore you can’t fail to be awed by the splendour of Vatican City. Its luxury contained within many impressive artefacts inside the Vatican Museums.

Snap a selfie with your beloved in front of the astounding Trevi Fountain and admire the architecture of one of Rome’s Basilicas.

In the meantime discover the lasting symbol of the Roman Empire with a Colosseum tour.

Bruges is just an hour by train from Brussels

Walking the cobblestone streets and crossing over one of the many canals you’ll learn why this city is often called the Venice of the North

Moreover, it’s a place known for chocolate so look out for shops advertising handmade to find chocolate specifically produced here.

Therefore embrace the fairy tale atmosphere of this medieval town as you stroll through picturesque market squares.

Probably one of the most photographed streets of Dumbo (Brooklyn) with or without the snow! ❄️☃️❄️⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ Did you know that you can see this exact same “frame” on the Once Upon a Time in America Movie poster? ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ The only difference is that the movie is set in the 20s, so on the poster, we don’t see the Empire State Building framed right in between the lower arch of the Manhattan Bridge … not visible here either because of the snow! ☃️☃️☃️⁣⁣ ⁣ If you are in Brooklyn, make sure to explore Dumbo, full of local eateries and coffee bars … plus, you can even try the Time Out Magazine Food Market! ⁣ •⁣⁣ •⁣⁣ •⁣⁣ •⁣⁣ #streetsofnyc #nygram #newyork_instagram #newyork_ig #visitnyc #nuevayork #winterinnewyork #picturesofnewyork⁣⁣ #snowphotography #nycbound ⁣⁣
